Does gluten free diet cause weight loss?

I'm considering going gluten-free to see if it helps with my digestion and overall health. I also wouldn't mind losing some weight. Does a gluten-free diet cause weight loss, or is that not necessarily guaranteed?

Eating naturally and staying positive will always bring balance to your body. A gluten-free diet can help with weight loss if you eat pure, simple grains like millets. Take care of your mind and body, and the weight will naturally find its right place.

I struggled with weight loss due to my thyroid and thought going gluten-free was the cure. It only helped a bit with bloating, but my weight actually stabilized after my doctor adjusted my thyroxine dose. Please get your hormone levels tested regularly.

When I visited Max Hospital, the clinical nutritionist told me that gluten-free is not a weight loss diet. It is meant specifically for people with celiac disease. You should ask your doctor clearly before copying this trend.

It can lead to weight loss if you avoid junk, but sometimes gluten-free processed foods have double the sugar and fat. Please get your thyroid and complete blood count checked before starting any new diet plan to ensure it is safe for you.

Only if you stop eating gluten-free cakes and biscuits too! If you just replace wheat roti with expensive gluten-free breads, only your wallet will lose weight, not you!
