Does flaxseed oil help with weight loss?

My mother-in-law keeps telling me to use flaxseed oil for everything, including for my weight. I'm a bit skeptical, though. Does flaxseed oil actually help with weight loss, or is it just a home remedy?

I was so nervous to try it because it is an oil and I thought it would make me gain weight instead. But actually, healthy fats are supposed to help with metabolism. I only take a very small amount to be safe, maybe you can start small too.

For my PCOS, managing inflammation is key, and flaxseed oil has helped with that. But weight loss with hormonal issues is complex. It can be a helpful addition to your diet, but please consult your gynecologist or dietitian first.

At my age, I have realized there are no shortcuts to fitness. Flaxseed oil is very good for joint pain and cholesterol, which helps you stay active, but it won't reduce weight on its own. Focus on clean eating and daily walks.

Flaxseed oil is a great plant-based source of ALA Omega-3, which supports a healthy weight loss diet. However, never cook with it as heat destroys its nutrients. Use it cold as a salad dressing, and limit it to one teaspoon.

Honestly, instead of buying expensive flaxseed oil, just buy normal flaxseeds, roast them at home, and grind them. It is much cheaper, gives you the same benefits, plus you get the fiber which the oil lacks.

It actually helps with metabolism, yaar, but you can't just drink oil and expect to lose weight. It is high in calories, so you have to use it in place of other oils, not on top of them. Balance is very important.
