Does express scripts cover zepbound for weight loss?

My doctor discussed Zepbound as a new option for my weight loss efforts. I wanted to check my insurance coverage. Does Express Scripts include Zepbound for weight loss in their formulary?

Hey, don't stress too much about the insurance stuff! Zepbound is quite new, so some Express Scripts plans cover it and some don't. Just have your doctor submit the request and see; worse comes to worst, there are manufacturer savings cards available too!

Bro, my cousin was looking into Zepbound and it's super expensive without insurance. Express Scripts usually needs a solid proof from your doctor that your BMI is in the risk zone. Definitely check their app first to see if it’s listed.

I totally get it, trying to get these weight loss injections covered can feel like an endless battle. It's so exhausting to deal with insurance rejections when you're just trying to get healthy. I really hope your plan covers it without any issues!

I was just reading about Zepbound coverage policies yesterday. It looks like Express Scripts did add it to their formulary recently, but it depends on your specific employer's plan benefits. You'll definitely need a prior approval form filled out.

I logged into my health insurance dashboard last week and saw that Zepbound requires a clinical prior authorization. It's best to track your health metrics and have your doctor submit a detailed progress report to help get the coverage approved quickly.

With my thyroid struggle, weight loss is very hard, and I've looked into Zepbound too. Since these medicines can affect thyroid function, make sure you get regular blood tests done. Talk to your endocrinologist to see if your insurance will cover it for your specific medical profile.
