Does ensure help with weight loss?

I'm looking for a healthy meal replacement option to help with my weight loss journey. I've heard some people use Ensure for this. Does Ensure help with weight loss, or is it more for weight gain?

Ensure is actually meant for weight gain or nutrition gap management, not weight loss. If you use it to replace a high-calorie meal, it might help, but it's not a weight loss product.

Beta, for losing weight, do not rely on these bottled powder drinks. It is much better to eat simple home-cooked food like bottle gourd (lauki) juice, oats, and lots of seasonal salads. They are natural and very safe.

In my experience, when I was recovering from an illness and only drinking Ensure, I actually gained a couple of kilos. It has a decent amount of sugar and calories, so I wouldn't recommend it if your main goal is losing weight.

Let's be clear: Ensure is definitely not a weight loss shake. It's packed with carbs and sugars to help people who are recovering from illness put on weight. If you want to lose weight, look for specific high-protein meal replacements or just manage your daily calories.

If you are busy and looking for an easy way to lose weight, replacing meals with Ensure isn't the right path. It doesn't keep you full for long, and you'll end up overeating later. Focus on simple meal prep instead.

Ensure is quite expensive to buy regularly anyway if you are just looking to lose weight. Simple remedies like drinking warm water, reducing refined sugar, and walking daily are much lighter on the pocket and actually work.
