Does drinking lots of water help weight loss?

Everyone says drinking plenty of water is good for overall health, and especially for weight loss. I try to drink 8-10 glasses daily. Does this habit actually help you lose weight, or is it just for hydration?

Water definitely helps with bloating and keeps your metabolism active, but it won't burn fat by itself. You still need to be in a calorie deficit and do some consistent strength training or cardio. Treat water as a great tool, not a shortcut.

Please don't overdo it. I started drinking 6 liters of water daily to lose weight fast and ended up in the hospital with low sodium levels, which is very dangerous. Always check with a doctor to find the right water limit for your body weight.

My physician at Manipal Hospital told me that while hydration is vital, excess water can strain kidneys if you have underlying issues. It's always best to ask your doctor about your specific fluid intake limits during your next routine checkup.

Beta, paani peena toh shareer ke liye sabse badhiya hai. Isse pet saaf rehta hai aur chehre par chamak aati hai. Khaana khane se pehle thoda paani pee lo toh bhookh kam lagti hai aur vajan apne aap kabu mein rehta hai.

I recently lost 5 kgs and keeping a water bottle with me at all times was a game changer. Every time I wanted to snack on chips, I just drank water instead. It really helped control my random cravings.

I was just reading some articles on metabolism and apparently cold water burns a tiny bit of extra calories because the body has to warm it up. It sounds cool, but honestly, I think it's just about replacing sugary drinks with water.

Drinking water is great because it often stops you from confusing thirst with hunger. Try having a glass of water 20 minutes before your meals, it naturally prevents overeating. Around 2.5 to 3 liters a day is a healthy, safe target for most adults.

At 47, my metabolism has basically gone on a permanent vacation. I drink water like a camel now hoping it melts the belly, but honestly, unless I stop eating those hot samosas, nothing is going to happen!

I've been trying to drink 3 liters daily but I feel like I'm running to the washroom every 30 minutes! Does anyone else find this super annoying or does your body eventually get used to it? I hope it's actually helping me lose some weight.

According to my dietician, drinking water increases resting energy expenditure by up to 30% for a short period. She advised me to drink water consistently throughout the day rather than chugging a lot at once, as it helps optimize digestion and fat metabolism.
