Does diet coke cause diabetes?

My father has diabetes, and I'm worried about my own health as I drink a lot of Diet Coke. I thought it was a healthier alternative to regular soda. Can diet coke cause diabetes, or is that just a rumor?

Hey, don't stress too much about it! Diet coke doesn't have real sugar, so it won't directly spike your glucose levels. Just don't replace water with it, and you'll be absolutely fine.

I read online that artificial sweeteners can confuse our brain and still trigger insulin release. It really freaked me out because my dad has diabetes. Has anyone actually seen their sugar levels rise after drinking diet sodas?

If diet coke caused diabetes, half of the corporate employees in Gurgaon would be on insulin by now! It's just carbonated water and artificial sweeteners. It won't give you diabetes, though your dentist might still judge you.

Haan yaar, sugar nahi hai toh directly toh asar nahi padta na. But some studies say it can make you crave actual sweets more later. Better to keep it as an occasional treat rather than a daily habit.

Artificial chemicals can disturb the natural rhythm of our digestion. While it may not directly cause diabetes, it creates an unnatural craving for sweet tastes in the mind. Practicing deep breathing and drinking herbal teas helped me leave sodas completely.

When I visited my specialist at Max Hospital, I asked him this exact question. He clearly told me that while it doesn't contain sugar, it's not a health drink either. If you have a family history of diabetes, it is best to ask your doctor directly for a proper diet plan.

These bottled chemical drinks are not good for our long-term health. Instead of looking for diet options, why not drink simple buttermilk with curry leaves or warm water with a bit of lemon? It is much safer for the body and keeps your stomach happy.

Actually, it doesn't cause diabetes directly, yaar. The sweeteners they use don't impact blood sugar the way real sugar does. But honestly, drinking too much of it can mess with your gut bacteria, so drink in moderation.
