Does diarrhea help weight loss?

I'm trying to lose some weight, and I've heard some strange things online. Someone suggested that having diarrhea can help with weight loss. Is there any truth to this idea, or is it just a myth? I want to lose weight the right way.

No, it does not help with actual fat loss. It only depletes water and essential electrolytes from your body, which can be dangerous and cause severe weakness. It's definitely not a healthy way to lose weight.

Only if you want to lose weight by spending all day in the bathroom! Jokes apart, it is just water weight and you will gain it all back as soon as you drink a glass of water.

Arrey, what kind of diet plan is this? Diarrhea only makes you look pale and feel like you have no energy left. True weight loss needs sweat in the gym, not this stomach misery!

Please be careful, dehydration from chronic diarrhea can affect your kidneys and heart health. If you are experiencing frequent loose motions, please get it checked by a medical professional instead of thinking about weight loss.

My fitness tracker shows a huge drop in active calories and water percentage whenever I get a stomach bug. It's not fat loss at all, just dehydration. Track your actual macro intake and do consistent workouts for real results.

Honestly, the only thing you lose during diarrhea is your sleep and peace of mind. It is completely temporary and quite exhausting, so please don't think of it as a weight loss shortcut.

Using diarrhea as a means of weight loss is medically unsound and can lead to severe metabolic imbalances. If you are struggling with weight management, it is best to consult a certified clinical nutritionist or doctor.
