Does coconut oil aid in weight loss?

My gym trainer was telling me that coconut oil can help with weight loss if used correctly. I'm trying to cut down on my belly fat. Does it actually aid in shedding those extra pounds?

Listen, don't fall for these internet trends blindly. Coconut oil has fats that can help with satiety, but adding extra oil to your food will only increase your calories and make you gain weight. Use it in very small quantities and focus on overall clean eating.

In our times, we used coconut oil for everything in the kitchen and we stayed fit because we walked everywhere. Today, people drink spoonfuls of it while sitting on a chair all day, which is not right. It only helps if you are active and eat simple home food.

I read so many blogs saying we should put coconut oil in coffee for weight loss, but it made my stomach so upset. Am I doing something wrong? I feel so anxious when these famous remedies don't work for me.

When I visited my doctor at Max Hospital last month, I asked them about this trend. They clearly said that coconut oil is still high in saturated fat and can raise cholesterol if consumed in large amounts. Better to ask a qualified dietician before drinking oil.

I can only tell you what worked for me. I started using a tiny spoon of cold-pressed coconut oil for my daily cooking instead of refined oils, and it felt lighter on my stomach. But I didn't lose weight just because of the oil, I had to cut down on sweets too.
