Does cancer cause weight loss?

My husband has lost a lot of weight in the last few months without even trying. Everyone is telling me it might be a bad sign. Can cancer be a reason for unexplained weight loss like this?

Unexplained weight loss can sometimes be a sign, yes. When my sister lost weight, we tried feeding her ghee and nuts, but it turned out to be a thyroid issue. If you are losing weight without trying, please see a doctor instead of just changing your diet.

Significant, sudden weight loss of more than 5-10% of your body weight without dieting is a clinical symptom. While clean vegetarian eating is great for health, sudden drops need a proper medical checkup, not just food adjustments.

I lost a lot of weight during my exams due to pure stress. While cancer can cause weight loss, so can anxiety, diabetes, or gut issues. Don't panic, just get a basic health check done to be sure.

If a person is losing weight very fast and looking weak, it is not good. In our village, we immediately take them to the big town doctor for blood tests. Please do not delay if someone is shrinking day by day.

I literally weigh myself every day and get so scared if the scale drops even half a kilo. Unexplained weight loss is indeed a symptom for some cancers, which makes me super anxious. But please get a doctor's opinion to clear your doubts.

I wish my weight loss was due to my gym membership, but my tummy doesn't budge! Jokes apart, sudden drastic weight loss without any workout is a serious sign. Go see a doctor and get tested properly.
