Does caffeine hinder weight loss?

I'm on a diet and trying to lose weight, but I really enjoy my morning coffee. I heard from a dietician online that caffeine can sometimes hinder weight loss efforts. Is this something I should be concerned about?

I totally get it, it is so frustrating when you are trying hard to lose weight and suddenly realize your daily comfort drink might be stopping your progress. Just try keeping your coffee plain and see if it makes a difference.

Haan, bilkul hinder kar sakta hai agar aap dher saara doodh aur cheeni waali chai-coffee peete ho toh. Plain black coffee toh thik hai, par extra calories loge toh weight badhega hi na?

Has anyone else noticed that drinking coffee late in the evening causes water retention or sugar cravings the next day? I feel like my weight scale stalls every time I have too much caffeine.

Over the years, I have seen that caffeine only hinders weight loss if it disrupts your sleep. Bad sleep is the biggest enemy of a healthy metabolism. Keep your coffee restricted to mornings and you'll be fine.

I used to feel so guilty having my morning cup because I thought it was stalling my weight loss. It was a constant mental battle, but I realized moderate caffeine is fine as long as we don't stress ourselves out over it.

Excess caffeine can cause acidity and stress, which might actually prevent weight loss. I shifted to drinking warm lemon water in the morning and limited my tea to just one cup, and my digestion improved so much.

While caffeine is a stimulant, excessive intake can increase cortisol levels, which might encourage fat storage. It is safer to consult a qualified nutritionist to understand how your specific metabolism reacts.
