Does breast tenderness come and go in early pregnancy?

I'm in my first trimester, and my breasts have been so tender, but sometimes the tenderness reduces for a bit. My friend said hers was constant. Does breast tenderness come and go in early pregnancy, or should it be steady?

Yes, absolutely! During my first trimester, my breasts would hurt so much on Monday and feel completely fine by Wednesday. It is just your hormones fluctuating as your body adjusts, so don't worry if the soreness disappears for a bit.

I can only speak from my own experience, but my breast tenderness definitely came and went in the first few weeks. Some days I was in pain, and other days I felt zero symptoms. My pregnancy progressed perfectly fine despite these changes.

Hormonal levels fluctuate significantly in the early weeks, which is why breast tenderness is rarely constant. While this is entirely normal, it is always a good practice to discuss any concerns with your gynecologist during your routine prenatal visits.

The body goes through many natural ebbs and flows during early pregnancy, and fluctuating tenderness is part of that rhythm. Daily gentle breathing exercises can help calm your mind when you feel anxious about these changes. Trust your body's wisdom during this beautiful phase.
