Kalonji is excellent for metabolic health and I use it daily to help manage my blood sugar levels. When your insulin is stable, your weight also starts managing better. Just make sure you don't eat heavy fried foods thinking the seeds will burn it off.
I tried taking black seed (kalonji) oil in warm water every morning. It tasted like I was drinking liquid rubber, which definitely reduced my appetite because I didn't want to eat anything after that! Jokes aside, it helps a bit with digestion, but don't expect miracles.
I was struggling to lose my post-lockdown weight and started taking a teaspoon of crushed black seeds with honey and warm water. Along with cutting out sugar, this helped me drop 4 kgs in two months. It really helps with bloating and bowel movements.
I can only share what worked for me. I started adding black seeds to my daily tadka and sometimes drank warm water infused with it. I did feel lighter and less bloated, but I cannot say if it works scientifically for fat loss.

I used kalonji powder for three months while gymming. It gave me a slight boost in metabolism and digestion, but honest talk, it only works if your diet is 100% clean. It's just a good supplement, not a shortcut.
