I have been taking amlodipine for over fifteen years now, and in my experience, it has never caused any weight loss. If you are losing weight suddenly, it is best to check other things with your doctor.

I am on amlodipine 5mg daily. I haven't noticed any change in my weight since starting it, nor does my doctor say it causes weight loss. It has kept my BP stable, which was the main goal.
