Does aetna cover mounjaro for weight loss?

I heard about Mounjaro for weight loss and I'm exploring options. I have Aetna insurance, so I'm curious to know if Aetna covers Mounjaro for weight loss purposes.

Actually, yaar, Aetna is very strict about Mounjaro. If you are taking it purely for weight loss, they usually reject it because it's technically approved for diabetes. You have to check if your specific corporate plan has weight loss benefits, otherwise, it's very difficult.

I checked my insurance portal, and Aetna typically doesn't cover Mounjaro for weight loss because it is FDA-approved only for diabetes. For weight loss, they prefer Wegovy or Saxenda if your plan includes anti-obesity drugs. You can use their online drug look-up tool to be 100% sure.

Struggling with weight can be so emotionally draining, and finding out these life-changing medicines are so hard to get covered just adds to the pain. Unfortunately, Aetna rarely covers Mounjaro unless you have type 2 diabetes. Please don't lose heart, there are other ways to manage this journey.

Please remember that Mounjaro is a heavy medication and should never be taken without complete medical supervision. Aetna mostly covers it for diabetes, but if you want it for weight loss, you must have your doctor evaluate your overall health profile to see if it is safe for you first.

Haan, Mounjaro weight loss ke liye cover hona thoda mushkil hai, kyunki mostly yeh diabetes patients ke liye hi approved hai. Agar aapki company policy extra premium hai tabhi shayad milega, na? Ek baar HR se confirm kar lena better rahega.
