Do you need protein for weight loss?

I've started going to the gym and want to lose some weight, but also build muscle. My trainer keeps emphasizing protein intake. Is it really necessary to focus so much on protein if my main goal is weight loss?

Absolutely, protein is super important. Adding simple things like paneer, dal, or boiled eggs to your daily meals makes a huge difference.

I was just reading some nutrition blogs about this yesterday. Apparently, protein keeps you full for a longer time so you don't crave those late-night snacks. It makes total sense if you are trying to cut down calories.

Haan, protein toh bilkul zaroori hai weight loss mein, na. Muscle loss nahi hona chahiye jab weight kam ho raha ho. Main toh rooz thoda sattu ya dahi add karta hoon diet mein.

You don't need to buy those expensive whey protein tubs to lose weight, honestly. Just plan your daily budget around cheaper local options like chana, peanuts, eggs, and double-toned curd. It is much more practical for long-term savings.

I used to panic thinking I had to eat massive amounts of protein to lose even one kilo, but that is not true at all. Just focus on balanced home-cooked meals and keep your portions in check. You don't have to stress about it so much, it is very manageable.
