Do women need more sleep than women?

I'm always feeling tired, even after getting enough sleep. I was curious, is it true that women generally require more sleep compared to, say, someone with a very demanding job?

From what I have observed in our yoga batches, women definitely benefit from an extra hour of rest. Their bodies undergo deep cyclical changes that require quiet recovery. Along with 8 hours of sleep, ten minutes of daily pranayama will keep your energy very balanced.

Haan na, women actually need more sleep because of all the hormonal changes we go through every month. Managing house and work also takes a toll. Thoda extra rest is always good for us.

Actually yes, studies show women's brains work harder during the day so they need slightly more recovery time. If your doc clears you, try adding a brisk 30-minute walk in the evening. It really helps you fall into a deeper, higher quality sleep at night.

Honestly, I need about 12 hours of sleep but my toddler and job barely let me have 5. Women absolutely need more sleep, our brains are constantly running fifty tabs open in the background. Someone please hand me a pillow already!

I used to feel so guilty for wanting to sleep more than my husband, thinking I was just lazy. But I realized our bodies are built differently and we carry a lot of mental load which is exhausting. Please don't feel bad if you need that extra hour, your body is just asking for what it needs.
