Do weight loss injections suppress your appetite?

My dietician mentioned that some weight loss injections can suppress appetite. I'm curious to know how effective they are at this. Do weight loss injections truly help in suppressing your appetite, or is the effect very mild?

Yes, they actually act on the brain receptors to slow down stomach emptying, which makes you feel full for much longer. But honestly, they aren't magic sticks. You still need to watch what you eat and keep a check on side effects like mild nausea or acidity.

Completely agree with this, they really do cut down your cravings big time. Just make sure you are drinking enough water throughout the day because it's very easy to get dehydrated on these.

They do suppress the physical urge to eat, but true hunger is also connected to our mind and breathing. While these modern treatments help quiet the stomach, daily pranayama like Kapalbhati can naturally help balance your digestion and control emotional eating over time.

Before starting anything like this, please get your thyroid and complete hormone panel checked. My doctor told me these appetite suppressants can behave differently if your metabolism is already slow, so getting a proper prescription and regular blood tests is a must.

They do reduce hunger, but remember that losing weight this way can make you lose muscle mass too if you aren't careful. If you decide to go ahead, please make sure you still hit your daily protein targets and do some basic strength training at the gym.

I was looking into this recently too because my sweet tooth is out of control! From what my friends told me, it completely kills your appetite and you won't even feel like looking at heavy food. But once you stop, the hunger can come back, so we have to build good eating habits anyway.
