Do probiotics aid in weight loss?

I'm trying to lose some weight and a friend suggested I take probiotics. He said they help with gut health and weight loss. Is it true that probiotics aid in weight loss?

If probiotics could make us slim, I would be drinking gallons of dahi every day! They make my stomach feel light and less bloated, which is great, but the weight on the scale only goes down when I actually stop eating samosas.

Probiotics primarily improve your gut health and digestion, which indirectly helps your metabolism. They are not magic weight loss pills that burn fat overnight. If you are taking them, do it to support your gut, but keep your calorie intake in check.

I spent so much money on expensive probiotic supplements hoping they would solve my weight struggles because my gut felt so toxic. It was so frustrating when nothing changed. It took me a long time to realize that weight loss needs a complete lifestyle shift, not just one supplement.

Don't fall for these marketing gimmicks online selling probiotic drinks for weight loss. There is very little solid scientific backing that gut bacteria changes can make you thin. Go consult a proper nutritionist or a doctor instead of wasting money on these trends.

Look, don't stress too much about finding a shortcut. Probiotics are excellent for your digestion and keeping acidity away, which makes you feel active and healthy. Take them for your digestion, eat clean, and the weight loss will naturally follow.
