Do other people notice weight loss before you?

I've been working out regularly and trying to eat healthy to lose weight, but I don't really see much change in myself. My friends and family have started commenting that I look slimmer; do other people really notice weight loss before you do?

Yes, absolutely! Since we look at ourselves in the mirror every single day, our brains get used to the image and we don't see the daily micro-changes. But a relative or friend meeting you after a month will instantly spot the difference in your face and waist.

Actually yaar, this is 100% true. I didn't feel any change for two months, but suddenly in a family function everyone was like, 'Arre, you have lost so much weight!' It's because they see us after a gap, so the change is super obvious to them.

I used to cry looking at the scale because I couldn't see any difference in my body after weeks of dieting. But then my neighbor complimented me out of nowhere, and it changed everything. Please be gentle with yourself, your progress is real even if your eyes are playing tricks on you.

This is very common. Instead of relying on the mirror, try to notice how your regular clothes fit you. If your pants are getting loose around the waist, you are definitely losing weight, even if your mind is not ready to believe it yet.

I am experiencing this exact same thing right now! My colleagues keep telling me my face looks much thinner, but when I look at myself, I still feel exactly the same as before. Is this some kind of mental block, or is it just normal?
