Do ice baths help with weight loss?

I saw a reel online about ice baths being great for recovery and even weight loss. I'm trying to shed a few kilos, but this sounds a bit extreme. Can ice baths really contribute to weight reduction, or is it just a fad?

Bhai, yeh baraf ke paani me nahnane se wazan kam nahi hota hai. Humare yahan toh log mehnat karte hain aur seedha khana khate hain. Apne khane pe dhayan dijiye aur thoda daliye, wahi sabse accha hai.

I totally get it, trying to find new ways to shed those extra kilos can feel so exhausting. Ice baths might temporarily boost your metabolism a tiny bit, but they aren't a shortcut to weight loss. Focus on a sustainable diet and physical activity instead.

No, ice baths don't really help with weight loss. They are just good for muscle recovery after heavy workouts.

Cold water therapy can refresh you, but for weight loss, eating light and home-cooked meals is best. Be careful with ice baths as sudden cold can affect your heart rate. If you have any underlying health issues, please consult your doctor before trying this.

Ice baths are great for muscle recovery and reducing soreness after heavy workouts, which athletes use. However, they don't directly burn significant fat for weight loss. A balanced diet and regular calorie deficit are what actually work in the long run.
