Do fajas help with weight loss?

My friend recently bought a 'faja' and swears it's helping her with weight loss. I'm trying to shed some post-pregnancy weight, but I'm not sure if these fajas actually work. Do they really help with weight loss, or is it just temporary shaping?

They only compress your body to make you look slimmer temporarily. They do not help with actual fat loss at all.

Don't fall for these social media trends. Wearing tight compression garments like fajas can restrict your breathing and damage internal organs, and it has zero effect on burning fat. Talk to a doctor before using them.

To reduce weight, especially if you have blood sugar issues, you need a proper diet and active lifestyle. Relying on tight garments like fajas will not change your metabolism or insulin sensitivity. Focus on your food habits instead.

Fajas or compression garments are clinically used for post-surgical support to reduce swelling, not for active weight loss. For long-term fat reduction, a structured caloric deficit and exercise plan under professional guidance is highly recommended.

I am looking for ways to shape my waist and saw many videos about these compression wraps. Do they actually help to tighten the skin after weight loss, or are they only worn under dresses?

I panicked when I wore a faja and couldn't breathe properly, thinking I had damaged something! I realized later that these shapewear items don't actually reduce weight. It's totally normal to want a quick fix, but healthy eating is the only way.

When my sister asked about waist trainers at Kokilaben Hospital, the doctor strictly advised against them. They only cause temporary water loss through sweat and can cause digestive issues. Consult a proper physician first.
