Do diet drinks give you cancer?

My husband drinks a lot of diet colas, and I keep telling him it's not good. I saw some news recently saying that diet drinks can actually give you cancer because of the artificial ingredients. Is there serious evidence for this, or is it just another health scare?

Haan na, even I used to worry about this after reading posts on WhatsApp. But honestly, if we drink them once in a blue moon, it's fine, no? Excess of anything is bad, so we should just keep it limited.

In my seventy years, I have seen many food scares come and go. Diet drinks have been around for decades, and while they might not be healthy like fresh juice, they won't give you cancer overnight. Just eat fresh, home-cooked food and stay active.

Managing thyroid has taught me to keep my diet very clean and avoid processed chemicals. While there is no solid medical proof linking diet sodas to cancer, it is better to discuss your dietary choices during your regular doctor checkups.

There is absolutely no conclusive scientific evidence that drinking diet sodas in moderation causes cancer. Don't fall for the fear-mongering on social media. Enjoy your drink occasionally, just don't replace your daily water intake with it.

According to major health organizations like the WHO and FDA, sweeteners like aspartame are safe within the acceptable daily intake. My doctor also mentioned that you would have to drink dozens of cans daily to reach any risky level. Still, water is always superior.

Oh God, I also get so anxious reading about artificial sweeteners and cancer risks online! I actually stopped buying them entirely just to peace out my mind. If you are also overthinking it like me, switching to simple coconut water might help you sleep better at night.

Look, simple logic: chemicals are chemicals, and they can never replace natural water. Will they give you cancer directly? Probably not in normal amounts. But why take the risk and waste money on packaged drinks anyway?
