Do baby teeth cavities need to be filled?

My 4-year-old has a small cavity in one of his baby teeth. Some people say since they'll fall out anyway, it doesn't need treatment. Do baby teeth cavities need to be filled, or can they be left alone?

I was reading about this online because my niece has a small black spot on her tooth. Even though these teeth fall out eventually, untreated cavities can cause infections and affect the permanent teeth underneath. So finding a dentist seems quite important.

I felt so guilty when the dentist said my 4-year-old needed three fillings, I literally cried thinking I didn't clean her teeth well. Please don't blame yourself, it happens very commonly. Getting them filled timely saved her from severe tooth pain later.

Haan na, initially even I thought why waste money when these teeth will fall anyway. But then my kid started crying during meals because food was getting stuck inside. We got the filling done, and now he can eat comfortably without any pain.

Dental treatments can be expensive, but neglecting baby teeth cavities now will lead to bigger pain and costs later. We went to a simple local family dentist who put basic fillings for our kid. It took just two short visits and handled the problem nicely.

I keep track of my kid's health routine on an app, and dental hygiene is a big part of it. If a cavity is left open, it can decay faster and cause spacing issues for future teeth. Better to log an appointment with a dentist and get it sealed.

In our times, we used warm saline rinses and a little turmeric paste to keep the mouth clean. But if the cavity is deep, only a dentist can clean and seal it properly. Make sure the child avoids eating sweet sticky candies, especially before sleeping.

Actually, yes, they absolutely need to be filled, yaar. If they fall out too early due to decay, the adult teeth might grow crooked. It's better to get a quick checkup done instead of waiting for the tooth to fall naturally.

We literally just came back from a pediatric dentist last week for my daughter's cavity. They did a quick tooth-colored filling and it was totally painless. Don't wait because if it reaches the root, they might have to do a baby root canal which is much harder.
