Do all cancers cause weight loss?

My grandmother has been losing a lot of weight recently, and we are worried it might be something serious. I've heard that unexplained weight loss can be a sign of cancer. Do all types of cancer always cause weight loss?

I was reading about this on a health forum. It seems while many do cause weight loss, some cancers or their hormonal treatments can actually cause weight gain instead.

Nahi, sabme aisa nahi hota. Kuch log ilaaj ke dauran bilkul thik rehte hain aur unka vajan nahi ghat-ta. Bhagwan sabko achhi sehat de.

No, weight changes depend heavily on the tumor type and location. For example, some breast or prostate cancer treatments actually lead to weight gain due to hormonal therapies.

Please don't wait for sudden weight loss to take things seriously. I ignored early symptoms once and really regretted it. Go for a full medical checkup if you feel something is off.

Not all of them do, but if someone is losing weight, giving them small portions of high-calorie foods like kheer or soups can help keep their strength up.

I totally get it, weight loss is the first scary symptom we connect with cancer. But many people maintain their weight perfectly fine throughout their recovery journey.
