Can you take topiramate by itself for weight loss?

I've been struggling with my weight for a long time and heard about Topiramate being used for weight loss. Is it effective if I take Topiramate by itself for weight loss, or does it need to be combined with something else?

Topiramate is primarily a migraine and seizure medication, not a magic weight loss pill. Don't take it unless an endocrinologist specifically prescribes it for you, as the side effects can be quite nasty.

Using strong chemical tablets for weight loss can disturb your body's natural balance. I always recommend focusing on clean eating, gentle yoga, and deep breathing rather than looking for a quick fix.

A structured vegetarian diet with portion control is far safer than relying on such medications. If you are struggling with weight, consult a qualified dietitian and your doctor first.

At 54, my joints wish there was an easy pill for weight loss! But honestly, taking these heavy brain medicines just to lose a few kilos sounds like inviting extra trouble.

I was prescribed topiramate for my migraines and did lose some weight, but the brain fog and tingling in my fingers were quite severe. It is absolutely not worth taking solely for weight loss without a doctor's close supervision.
