Can you take a pregnancy test to early?

My period is due in a few days but I'm feeling some nausea already. We've been trying to conceive for some time now. Can I take a pregnancy test *before* my missed period for an early result, or is it too early?

Honestly, don't rush it like I did and ignore the proper timing. I took mine way too early, got a wrong negative, and delayed seeing a doctor when I actually needed to. Wait for at least a missed period to get an accurate result.

Yes, testing too early won't give the correct hCG hormone levels in your body. It is just like testing sugar levels right after eating a sweet instead of waiting for fasting hours. Better to wait a few days after your missed period.

You can, but it might show a false negative because the body needs time to build up the tracking hormone. Just like waiting for organic seeds to sprout, these things need their natural timeline. Better to wait till your date passes.

If you test too early, you might get a negative even if you are pregnant, just like taking cookies out before they are fully baked. If you are already craving mid-night spicy chaat, just wait a couple of days and test again with the morning sample!

I literally went through this last month and got super anxious. I took a test 4 days before my period was due and it was negative, but after 3 days of delay, it showed a clear positive. Trust me, waiting for the missed period saves a lot of stress.
