Can you sleep in a self storage unit?

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I might need a temporary place to stay for a short period. I was thinking about renting a self-storage unit as a last resort. Is it even allowed or safe to sleep inside a storage unit? I'm quite desperate for options right now.

I always try to look out for safe, healthy environments because of my chronic health management. Sleeping in a storage unit is definitely not safe due to poor air circulation and dust, which can trigger severe allergies or breathing issues. Please prioritize your physical health and find a proper room.

No, it is not safe or legal to sleep in a storage unit. Please look for a local shelter or budget lodging where you can sleep safely and comfortably.

Haha, unless you want to be locked in like a mummy with zero oxygen, please don't do it! Storage units are strictly for your old furniture, not for your precious sleep. Grab a bed in a hostel instead!

I once stayed in a closed, poorly ventilated room for a few days to save money and ended up with a severe lung infection that took months to cure. Please don't ignore the importance of fresh air. If you are already feeling unwell or have a chest heavy feeling, get checked by a doctor.

Hey, don't stress too much, but please don't even think about sleeping in a storage unit! There is literally no ventilation and it can get super hot or freezing, plus it is against the rules. Let me know if you need help finding a cheap room nearby.
