Can you lose weight pregnancy?

I'm about halfway through my pregnancy, and my doctor mentioned that my weight gain is a little bit on the higher side. I'm trying to eat healthier and stay active. I was wondering if it's generally advised or even possible to actively try to lose weight during pregnancy.

Losing weight during pregnancy can sometimes point to underlying issues or severe morning sickness. It is always best to be absolutely safe and get it checked by your gynecologist immediately. Don't try to manage or ignore this on your own.

My obstetrician explained that losing some weight in the first trimester is quite common due to appetite loss and morning sickness. However, significant weight loss later in pregnancy can affect fetal development. It is crucial to monitor your calorie intake and discuss any drops with your medical team.

Actually yaar, losing weight during pregnancy isn't something you should plan for. If it's happening naturally because of morning sickness, it's okay initially, but don't go on any diets now. Just eat healthy home food.

But normal healthy khana khate raho thoda thoda karke. Doctor se consult karna hi best option hai safety ke liye.

Instead of focusing on weight loss, aim for a healthy and active pregnancy. Regular, gentle walking for 20-30 minutes daily is great for your stamina, provided your doctor clears you for it. Keep your nutrition high and avoid any strenuous workouts.

If you are losing weight, you might need extra blood tests or scans to make sure the baby is growing fine. Keep a budget aside for these extra consultations and nutritional supplements. It's better to plan ahead for these medical expenses.
