Can you have intercourse in early pregnancy?

My wife is in her first trimester, and we are both a bit hesitant about intimacy. Can you have intercourse safely in early pregnancy, or should we avoid it?

Yes, it is completely safe in early pregnancy unless your doctor has warned you against it due to complications.

My wife and I panicked during her first pregnancy and thought even a little movement would cause a miscarriage. But our gynecologist assured us that the baby is deeply cushioned inside and normal intimacy is absolutely fine. Just clear it with your doc during your first scan.

I know how terrifying it is to think that you might do something wrong and hurt the baby in those fragile first few weeks. I was a nervous wreck myself. But doctors say it is perfectly fine unless you have bleeding or a high-risk pregnancy. Just talk to your doctor once to ease your anxiety.

You can definitely have intercourse, but honestly, hormonal fatigue and morning sickness in the early weeks might make you feel completely uninterested. Take it slow, use plenty of lubrication if needed, and communicate openly with your husband about how you are feeling physically.

Yes, it's safe. Just make sure there is no severe cramping or bleeding afterward, and consult your doctor immediately if that happens.

It is safe, but honestly, my wife was so exhausted and nauseous during the first three months that we both preferred sleeping over anything else. If you actually have the energy for it in early pregnancy, you guys are absolute superheroes!

Yes, it is safe, but always check if you have any history of weak cervix or previous miscarriages. To keep the body calm and reduce any mild post-activity cramps, my mother used to suggest drinking warm milk or relaxing in a quiet room afterwards. Keep things very gentle.
