Can you have crohn's without weight loss?

I've been dealing with a lot of stomach problems lately, and my uncle has Crohn's, so I'm a bit worried. I always thought weight loss was a key symptom for it. But my weight is steady, so I'm wondering if it's possible to have Crohn's disease without losing weight.

Haan bhai, bilkul ho sakta hai. Jaruri nahi ki vajan kam ho tabhi ye bimari ho. Agar pet me hamesha dard rehta hai to bade hospital ke doctor ko jarur dikhana chahiye.

Yes, absolutely! I love my food and never lost a single kilo, but still got diagnosed with Crohn's. The digestive system is weird, so don't assume you are safe just because you are eating well.

My gastroenterologist explained that if the inflammation is localized in the colon rather than the small bowel, nutrient absorption isn't impacted as much, meaning zero weight loss. You should definitely get a calprotectin stool test done.

Look, weight loss is just one symptom, not a rule. Many people have Crohn's with normal weight. Stop waiting for your scale to drop and go get a proper colonoscopy done.
