Can you go to emergency for dental pain?

I'm having excruciating tooth pain right now, and my regular dentist's clinic is closed for the weekend. I can't sleep because of the pain. Is it appropriate to go to an emergency room at a hospital for severe dental pain?

I totally get it, dental pain can be absolutely unbearable and makes it impossible to sleep or eat. If the pain is accompanied by severe swelling in your jaw or neck, or a high fever, you should definitely head to the emergency room. They can give you immediate pain relief and prevent any dangerous infection from spreading.

I know how terrifying it is when severe tooth pain strikes late at night and you feel completely lost. Yes, you can go to a hospital ER, especially if there is visible swelling or difficulty in swallowing. Getting professional medical support will ease your anxiety and keep you safe.

My son had a sudden, severe toothache at midnight with swelling, and we rushed him to the local hospital's emergency department. They gave him a safe painkiller and an antibiotic to control the swelling until we could see our regular dentist the next morning. Don't hesitate to go.

Please don't suffer in silence. If the pain is too much to handle, going to the hospital emergency is the best option to get quick relief and stay safe. I hope your pain goes away very soon.

At this point, a severe toothache is enough to make anyone cry like a baby, regardless of age! Yes, you can go to the ER. They won't do a root canal there, but they will definitely give you the necessary injections to stop that throbbing pain so you can survive the night.
