Can you get dental implants with gum disease?

I've been considering dental implants for a while, but I also have some gum disease that my dentist is treating. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to get implants with this condition. Can you get dental implants with gum disease?

I can't even imagine not being able to bite into a juicy kebab because of teeth issues! But honestly, my dentist friend told me you must cure your gum disease first, otherwise the implant won't hold. Get those gums healthy so you can enjoy your favorite foods again!

Be prepared that this won't be a one-day job. If you have gum disease, the doctor will schedule treatments to heal the gums before the implant surgery can even start. Plan your leaves and budget accordingly because it requires multiple follow-ups.

At our age, our teeth and gums start playing their own games! You can't just jump into implants if your gums are bleeding. The dentist will make you do multiple cleanings first, so keep some patience and a good budget ready.

Yes, you can get them, but only after the active gum infection is fully treated. Make sure to consult a good periodontist first.

Putting implants in weak gums is like building a skyscraper on loose soil—it is just going to collapse! Don't worry, the dentist will first clean up the 'soil' (your gums) and then put the pillars. Just face the dentist's chair bravely, you'll be fine!

I had severe pyorrhea and wanted implants, but my dentist refused until my gums were healthy. I had to undergo deep scaling and a laser gum treatment first. It took about three months, but now my implants are super stable, so definitely treat the gum issue first.
