Can you bleed like a period in early pregnancy?

My period was missed, but then I had some bleeding that felt quite similar to a light period. I took a pregnancy test, and it was positive. Now I'm confused if it's possible to bleed like a period even when you are pregnant, especially in the early stages?

Heavy bleeding like a period in early pregnancy can be a sign of a complication, like a threatened miscarriage. I had a similar scare and needed immediate medical support. Please do not wait, go to the hospital right now.

I know you must be very scared seeing heavy flow right now, but try to stay calm. While light spotting is common, period-like bleeding needs a doctor's attention immediately. Call your gynecologist right now and they will guide you.

I actually had heavy bleeding in week 7 and rushed to the ER crying, thinking the worst. It turned out to be a subchorionic hematoma which resolved on its own, and my pregnancy went perfectly fine. Definitely get it checked, but keep your hope up!

In my time, we saw many women having bleeding in the first few months and still delivering healthy babies. However, bleeding like a proper period is not normal. You must lie down flat and have someone take you to the doctor immediately.

Haan, light bleeding toh fine hai, but bleeding like a proper period can be risky, na. Don't take any chances or search on Google. Just go to your gynac and get an ultrasound done to be safe.

Honestly, seeing that much blood is enough to make anyone lose their mind with worry. Skip the home remedies and internet forums entirely. Just call your doctor's emergency number directly and let them tell you what to do.
