Can weight loss improve kidney function?

My father has some kidney issues, and his doctor has advised him to manage his weight. I'm curious if weight loss can actually improve kidney function, or is it just about preventing further damage?

Yes absolutely it helps. Just make sure you stay well hydrated throughout the day because keeping kidneys clean is so important.

Honestly weight loss reduces the overall load on your entire system, especially organs like your kidneys. Just eat clean, cut down on extra salt, and keep up with some light daily exercise. It makes a massive difference.

Of course boss! Your kidneys are like busy filtering offices, and shedding weight is like reducing their workload so they can actually chill a bit. Less weight means they dont have to work double shifts.

My creatinine levels were on the higher side last year but as I shed about 8 kgs, the doctor noticed my kidney function improved a lot. It really works, but pls consult your nephrologist first to do it safely.

I was actually reading an article about this yesterday. Apparently losing weight really helps control high blood pressure which is like a major cause of kidney strain. Quite fascinating how everything is linked.

Yes it definitely does. Obesity is directly linked to renal stress, so losing weight is a very smart move. Just don't go on any crazy fad diets that overload you with excessive protein without checking with a doctor.

Haan na, if weight is under control then our body functions so smoothly. Mera weight control mein aaya toh blood pressure and sugar also stabilized. It definitely helps the kidneys, bas thoda dhyan se dadi-nani ke nuskhe skip karo aur doc se pucho.
