Can vitamin supplements cause weight gain?

I'm thinking of starting a daily multivitamin because I feel a bit low on energy. But I'm also conscious about my weight, so I wanted to ask if vitamin supplements can lead to weight gain? I don't want to add extra kilos.

Vitamins themselves have almost zero calories, so they don't directly increase fat. But B-complex can sometimes boost your appetite, which might make you eat more. As a diabetic, I always monitor my portions closely if my appetite goes up.

Haha, actually when I started my multivitamin, my appetite went through the roof! I was craving samosas and butter chicken even more than usual. So the pills don't have calories, but they definitely make you want to feast!

They don't directly cause weight gain. However, some vitamins might increase your hunger, so just keep an eye on your food intake.

If you are suddenly gaining weight after starting vitamins, it could be due to something else like thyroid issues or fluid retention. Better to visit a doctor and get your thyroid and basic hormone panel checked just to be safe.

I was also worried about this last month when I started heavy D3 and B12 doses. My scale didn't budge at all, but my energy levels improved so much that I could actually work out better. Don't worry, it doesn't cause weight gain.

I just started taking a daily women's multivitamin and I feel like my face looks a bit bloated today. Has anyone else noticed sudden weight gain or bloating right after starting these? I'm really worried.
