Can vitamin'd supplements cause weight gain?

I've been advised to take vitamin D supplements, but I'm a bit concerned about gaining weight. I'm already trying to manage my weight, so I wanted to ask if these supplements can actually make one put on kilos.

Not really! Vitamin D supplements don't have calories, so they won't make you gain weight. Actually, when my Vitamin D levels improved, I felt more energetic and stopped stress-eating junk food. So it actually helped me manage my weight better!

I agree with the others, Vitamin D does not cause weight gain. Please consult a doctor to get a proper blood test done for any other underlying issues.

Bilkul nahi, Vitamin D supplement se koi motapa nahi aata. Agar vajan badh raha hai toh apni diet check karo ya fir thyroid ka test karwao. Bina soche samjhe supplements ko blame mat karo, doctor se milkar sahi wajah pata karo.

Nah, I've been taking weekly Vitamin D3 capsules prescribed by my doc for three months and my weight is exactly the same. Don't worry about gaining weight from them, they just help you feel less tired during classes.

There is no clinical evidence to suggest that Vitamin D supplements cause weight gain. In fact, maintaining optimal levels is associated with a healthy metabolic rate. If you are noticing unexplained weight changes, it is best to consult your doctor to rule out other issues like thyroid or hormonal imbalances.
