Can sore breasts come and go in early pregnancy?

My wife is in her early pregnancy, around 6 weeks, and she keeps complaining about her breasts being sore, but then sometimes it goes away for a day or two and comes back. Is it normal for sore breasts to come and go in early pregnancy?

Oh, those early pregnancy hormones are like a moody Bollywood director, one day full drama, next day completely silent! It is totally normal for symptoms to vanish for a couple of days and then come back with a vengeance.

Look, everyone on the internet will tell you it's normal, but self-reassurance won't help your peace of mind. Every pregnancy is different, so instead of searching forums, just send a quick text to your obstetrician to be absolutely sure.

With my PCOS, my hormone levels were always a bit unpredictable, so when I got pregnant, the breast soreness would fluctuate a lot. I learned not to panic every time the pain lessened, but it is always good to mention it at your regular prenatal checkups.

It is completely normal for pregnancy symptoms to fluctuate. Wearing a comfortable, non-wired cotton support bra during the day and even while sleeping can help manage the soreness when it does hit you.

Yes, absolutely! Some days my chest would hurt so much I couldn't sleep, and other days I'd just be sitting happily enjoying my cheese parathas without any pain at all. Don't worry, hormones just like to play hide and seek.

Usually, fluctuation is common, but sudden loss of all pregnancy symptoms can sometimes warrant a quick scan. If you also experience severe cramping or spotting, please go to the hospital immediately to make sure everything is okay.

Don't fret, child, this is very common in the first trimester. When the pain was high, I used to apply a cool, damp cotton cloth over my chest for quick relief. It is just your body adjusting to the new life inside you.
