Can sneezing cause miscarriage in early pregnancy?

I'm only 8 weeks pregnant and had a really violent sneeze yesterday, the kind that makes your whole body shake. Since then, I've been quite anxious thinking if it could harm the baby. My friend told me not to worry, but I'm still scared. Can sneezing really cause a miscarriage in early pregnancy?

I literally had this exact same fear last year when I got a bad cold in my second month. I was sneezing like crazy and called my gynaecologist crying! She assured me it does absolutely nothing to the baby. I delivered a healthy baby boy recently, so please relax and don't worry at all.

Beta please don't take stress about these tiny things during your pregnancy. In my time, I had severe allergies and sneezed constantly during my first trimester, but both my kids were born perfectly healthy. The baby is safely protected inside your womb with lots of fluid cushion. Just eat well and stay happy.

A simple sneeze won't cause any harm at all to your pregnancy, so don't fret. I had gestational diabetes and had to be super careful about everything I ate and my stress levels, and my doctors always told me anxiety is worse than any cold. Just take care of your overall health and diet, and keep your regular doctor checkups.

My wife is quite active and we discussed this during her early pregnancy because she sneezed a lot during her outdoor workouts. The pelvic floor muscles and core easily absorb all that shock, so sneezing is perfectly fine. Focus on light walking, eating clean, nutritious food, and don't stress about these normal bodily reflexes.

As someone working closely in healthcare, I can assure you that sneezing cannot cause a miscarriage. Nature has designed the uterus to protect your little one from these daily physical movements and coughs. But if you are experiencing severe cramping or any spotting, that's when you should immediately see your doctor.
