Can psoriasis be controlled with diet?

I've been dealing with psoriasis for a while now, and the treatments only help a little. I heard some people manage it by changing their diet completely. Is it possible for psoriasis to be controlled effectively just with what I eat?

Honestly, don't blindly follow random diet charts online for this. I visit a dermatologist at Kokilaben hospital and they clearly told me that while eating clean helps your body, diet alone cannot cure or fully control psoriasis flare-ups. It is best to consult a specialist and ask them directly what works for your body.

Haan, diet ka farak toh padta hai par sabke liye same nahi hota na. Maine thoda spicy aur oily khana kam kiya toh skin dry hona thodi kam hui. Fully control toh nahi hota par haan, health thodi better ho jaati hai.

In my experience, managing psoriasis requires a holistic approach rather than just a strict diet. I have found that eating light, satvik food coupled with daily pranayama like Anulom Vilom reduces internal stress, which directly calms the skin. Give your body gentle care and let it heal naturally.

My 12-year-old son has been dealing with this, and we have tried so many things. We noticed that cutting down on excess sugar, junk food, and giving him simple homemade meals really keeps his skin calmer. But please don't stress the child with extreme diets, just focus on healthy, home-cooked food alongside the doctor's treatment.

Please be very careful with self-diagnosing and trying random diets. I tried to cure mine by completely stopping dairy and gluten without medical supervision, and my skin got severely infected and cracked. Please see a proper doctor first before making any major changes to your food habits.

Beta, in our days we always focused on cooling foods to soothe the body. Adding a little ghee to your daily food and drinking warm water can help keep the dryness away from the inside. But do not ignore your doctor's medicine, these small remedies are only to support your healing.

As someone who manages both diabetes and skin issues, I can tell you that food matters a lot. Reducing sugar and highly processed carbs helps lower inflammation in the entire body. But do not start any extreme diet plan without asking your doctor, especially if you have other health conditions to manage.
