Can pregnancy cause headaches early in pregnancy?

I just found out I'm pregnant, and I'm feeling constant dull headaches, especially in the afternoons. I never used to get them so often. Are headaches a common symptom that can start very early in pregnancy?

Early pregnancy headaches can definitely happen, often due to sudden drops in blood sugar or dehydration. Make sure you are eating complex carbs at regular intervals and monitoring your levels. Always consult your doctor before trying any remedies.

With my PCOS history, my hormones were already all over the place, and early pregnancy made the headaches even worse. It is quite common because of the sudden surge in blood volume and hormones. Please check with your doctor instead of guessing the reason.

My wife had severe, throbbing headaches during her first six weeks. She just rested in a dark room and stayed hydrated, which helped her cope. Every pregnancy is different, so it is best to discuss this with your gynecologist.

I panicked so much in my first month because of daily dull headaches, thinking something was wrong. But my doctor reassured me it was completely normal due to the sudden estrogen spike. Once I rested more, they gradually went away.

In the early weeks, your body is working very hard to build the baby's life support, so mild headaches are bound to happen. Don't strain your eyes, take small naps, and have warm soups. Do mention it to your doctor when you visit.

Yes, early on, blood volume increases rapidly which can trigger headaches. Focus on drinking plenty of water and maintaining light, doctor-approved physical activity like walking. Avoid skipping meals and talk to your OB-GYN about it.
