Can misoprostol fail in early pregnancy?

I'm in my early pregnancy and have been advised to use Misoprostol. I'm quite worried about the effectiveness and whether it will work properly. Is there a chance that Misoprostol can fail in early pregnancy?

Yes, it can fail sometimes, especially if the dosage or timing wasn't correct. Instead of waiting and wasting precious days, go back to your doctor for a follow-up scan. An ultrasound is the only way to confirm if the pregnancy has cleared completely.

I know how stressful this situation can be, but please don't try any home remedies like hot papaya or sesame seeds to force a miscarriage if the pill fails. It can be very dangerous. Please contact your gynaecologist for proper medical guidance.

I took misoprostol two days ago but only had light spotting and no heavy bleeding. I'm so worried right now. Did this happen to anyone else? Did you have to take another dose or go for surgery?

Please keep your mind calm and stay positive during this difficult phase. Sometimes these things happen, but worrying will only affect your health. Trust your doctors, take deep breaths, and let them guide you safely through this.

It actually failed for me during my first pregnancy, and my doctor had to prescribe another dose to complete the process. Don't assume everything is fine just because you bled a little. You absolutely must get a follow-up ultrasound done after 10-14 days.
