Can melatonin cause weight loss?

Always looking for ways to support my weight loss journey, I heard someone mention that melatonin might have some metabolic benefits. I already take it occasionally for sleep, so I was curious. Is there any evidence that melatonin can actually help with losing weight?

I panicked when I started losing a bit of weight after taking melatonin, thinking it was a bad side effect. But I realized it was just because my sleep improved, which stopped my midnight junk food cravings. It is completely normal!

Melatonin does not directly cause weight loss. For your safety, if you are experiencing sudden or unexplained weight loss, please consult a doctor to check for any underlying medical conditions.

As a diabetic, I know that good sleep regulates insulin sensitivity, which indirectly helps manage weight. But do not rely on melatonin for weight loss—managing your daily carb intake and blood sugar is what actually works.

Hey, don't stress too much about this. Melatonin is just a sleep hormone, not a fat burner. It might indirectly help your metabolism by fixing your sleep cycle, but that's about it.

Melatonin won't magically melt your fat away, but better sleep helps your body function properly. A practical approach is to combine good sleep with simple home-cooked meals and a daily morning walk.

Wait, melatonin causes weight loss? If only! I've been taking it and I'm still as heavy as ever, just slightly less sleepy. Don't buy it expecting a shortcut to a slim waistline, guys.

Melatonin is not for weight loss. If you want to lose weight naturally, try drinking warm jeera water in the morning and sleeping on time instead of relying on hormonal pills.

Haan bhai, melatonin se koi direct weight loss nahi hota. Par jab achi neend aati hai na, toh body ka metabolism apne aap theek ho jata hai. Chinta mat karo, ye koi weight loss pill nahi hai.

My son took melatonin for his sleep cycle and did not experience any drastic weight loss. It just helped him sleep on time, which kept his daytime routine and eating habits much healthier.

I always prefer drinking a cup of warm turmeric milk for sleep rather than taking pills. Melatonin won't cause direct weight loss. If you have severe weight drops, please consult a doctor instead of self-diagnosing.

Stay positive and take care of your body. Melatonin simply restores your natural sleep rhythm, helping the body heal. Weight balance is just a natural byproduct of a calm mind and healthy rest.

If you are experiencing sudden weight loss, don't assume it is due to melatonin. Please get your thyroid levels tested, as thyroid imbalances frequently cause unexpected weight fluctuations.

I used melatonin for my jet lag and sleep issues. Trust me, it does not cause weight loss. If you want to lose weight, focus on consistent portion control and hitting 10,000 steps daily.

With PCOS, poor sleep can worsen insulin resistance, making it hard to lose weight. Melatonin helped improve my sleep, which indirectly supported my weight management, but I didn't lose weight solely because of the pill.

I was researching this and read that melatonin might activate 'brown fat' which helps burn energy, but the effect is very minimal in humans. It definitely isn't a replacement for diet and exercise.
