Can meditation help with weight loss?

Trying to lose weight for a while now, I recently heard from a friend that meditation could also play a role. I'm curious if there's any actual evidence that regular meditation can help with weight loss goals.

Yes, it helps a lot by calming your mind. When you are less stressed, you tend to make healthier food choices and avoid emotional eating.

I can only share what worked for me. Adding a 15-minute morning meditation didn't burn calories directly, but it stopped me from mindlessly snacking when I was stressed at work. It helped me lose a few pounds indirectly.

My doctor explained that high stress releases cortisol, a hormone that promotes abdominal fat storage. Meditation lowers cortisol levels, which helps the body metabolize food better and supports weight loss when combined with proper diet.

Beta, meditation cleanses the mind and improves digestion. If you combine daily meditation with drinking warm water and honey in the morning, your body will naturally find its balance and lose excess weight.

From my years of practice, I can say that meditation brings mindfulness. When you meditate, you become conscious of what you put in your body. It is the first step to holistic weight management.

I have PCOS and stress makes my weight shoot up instantly. While meditation is not a magical cure for weight loss, it really helped me lower my cortisol levels and manage my cravings. It is a good supportive practice.
