Can liver recover from alcohol damage?

I've stopped drinking alcohol completely about six months ago, after years of heavy consumption. I'm wondering if my liver can actually heal itself from all that damage now that I've quit. Is recovery possible for alcohol-damaged liver?

Yes, the liver is actually very strong and can heal if given a break. Just take things one day at a time. It is definitely possible to recover, please stay hopeful.

I have seen many friends in my youth who damaged their health but completely recovered after stopping alcohol entirely. The body has amazing powers to rebuild itself once you discipline your lifestyle. Trust the process and stick to clean living, son.

It can recover, but you have to monitor it closely. Just like I do for my thyroid, you must get regular LFT blood tests and show them to a proper gastroenterologist. Self-healing is fine, but medical tracking is very important.

Haan na, if you completely stop drinking, liver manages to repair itself surprisingly fast. But you have to give it complete rest and avoid oily food also. Diet control and no alcohol is the only secret, ho na.

It can recover, but along with quitting alcohol, please watch your diet. Fatty liver is common, so avoid processed sugars and heavy carbs which put extra load on the liver. Treating it like a diabetic diet really helps the liver heal faster.
