Can kidney stones cause uti in women?

My gynecologist told me I have a small kidney stone, and I've been suffering from recurrent UTIs. She suggested there might be a link. So, can kidney stones cause UTIs specifically in women?

Yes, they absolutely do, and it is highly annoying. Since our urethra is shorter, we are already prone to UTIs, and a kidney stone blocking the urine flow makes it ten times easier for bacteria to grow. My tip is to flush your system with water constantly, but you will definitely need a doctor's prescription for antibiotics to clear the infection.

Omg yes, my roommate had this last semester and she was in so much pain during exams. The stone was just sitting there causing repeat infections. Don't sit on it, just go to the college clinic or a nearby doc and get it sorted quickly.

I can only share what happened to me last year. I kept getting terrible UTI symptoms every two weeks, and when we finally got an ultrasound done, the doctor found a 6mm kidney stone was the actual culprit. Once the stone was addressed, my infections stopped completely.

Yes, they can definitely cause UTIs because of the stagnation. Along with your doctor's medical treatment, make sure you avoid high-oxalate foods like spinach and tomatoes if you have calcium stones. Drinking fresh lemon juice in water can also help create a better environment in the bladder.

Keep your mind calm and have faith, these physical hurdles come and go. When the urinary path is blocked by a stone, infections are quite natural. Take care of your diet, drink clean water, and let a proper doctor guide your treatment with patience.

Absolutely, physical blockages like stones impair normal urinary function, leading directly to infections. Keep your hydration levels super high, especially if you work out and sweat a lot. But don't rely only on the gym water bottle; a doctor needs to clear that UTI with proper medication.

My wife went through this double trouble of kidney stones and UTIs together, and honestly, managing her mood was harder than the treatment! Jokes apart, the stone basically traps the urine and lets bacteria party inside. Get her to a doctor fast so peace can return to the house.

Hey, don't stress too much, okay? It is a very common connection because the stone restricts proper urine flow, leading to infections. Just keep sipping water, grab a hot water bag for the ache, and book an appointment with a gynecologist or urologist to get a proper solution.

My sister was up all night crying with this combo, and honestly, none of us got any sleep. Apparently, the stone acts like a roadblock for urine, which leads to instant infections in women. Please consult a doctor instead of trying to brave it out, for your own sanity and sleep!

Haan, hamare yahan bhi meri bhabhi ko yahi takleef hui thi. Pathri ki wajah se baar baar peshab me jalan aur infection ho jata tha. Aap thoda dhyan rakho, paani khoob piyo aur doctor babu ko dikha kar achhi dawa le lo, thik ho jayega.
