Can i replace sugar with honey for weight loss?

I'm on a weight loss journey and trying to cut down on my sugar intake. A friend suggested that using honey instead of sugar in my tea and food would be much healthier. Will replacing all sugar with honey actually help with weight loss?

Honey is definitely more natural than refined white sugar and sits better on the body. But honestly, honey still has a lot of calories. For weight loss, it is best to reduce both and practice deep breathing to curb sweet cravings naturally.

Please be very careful with sugar substitutes. I kept ignoring my sweet cravings and high fatigue earlier, thinking raw honey was safe, but my glucose levels had shot up when I finally got tested. Better check your fasting sugar levels first.

Look boss, calorie to calorie both are almost the same. Honey might have some nutrients, but excessive consumption will still make you gain weight. If you really want to lose weight, thoda portion control seekho, don't rely only on honey.

I agree with the others. Honey is slightly better but it is still sugar, so use very small amounts like half a teaspoon only.

When I consulted a senior clinical nutritionist at Manipal Hospital, she told me that honey behaves similarly to sugar in the bloodstream. You should consult a qualified dietitian to get a proper diet chart instead of experimenting yourself.

Please be careful. I swapped sugar with organic honey blindly and ended up messing up my metabolic health and lipid profile. It's better to visit a doctor and get your thyroid and HbA1c checked before changing your diet drastically.
