Can i drink cold water during weight loss?

My gym instructor told me to drink warm water for weight loss, but I really prefer cold water, especially in this heat. Will it really make a difference? Can I drink cold water during weight loss, or is warm water strictly better? I find it difficult to stick to warm water.

I lost 15 kgs last year and drank chilled water throughout summer. Honestly, water temperature doesn't change your calorie burn in any major way. Just focus on drinking 3 liters daily, cold or normal doesn't matter.

Dealing with PCOS, I try to be extra careful with my metabolism. I usually prefer room temperature or warm water because it feels better for my digestion, but cold water is fine too. Don't stress too much about it, just stay hydrated.

My son was also worrying about this during his fitness journey. I told him that as long as he is avoiding sweet juices and drinking plain water, temperature makes no difference. Just don't drink ice-cold water immediately after a heavy workout.

I literally just finished my 3-month weight loss challenge. I drank cold water every single day because I hate warm water. Still lost 8 kgs easily. It’s all about the food you eat, water temp is just a myth.

Between back-to-back meetings, I just drink whatever water is available in the office fridge. Don't waste time overthinking water temperature. Just cut down your carb portions and keep moving.

Don't believe these WhatsApp forwards saying cold water solidifies fat in the stomach, it's absolute nonsense. Talk to a proper dietitian if you want real scientific advice instead of internet myths.

Usually cold water is harmless, but if you have sinus issues or throat infections, it can affect your workout consistency. If you have any health conditions, it's always safest to ask your doctor once.

I used to feel so guilty even drinking cold water because of what people online said. It’s exhausting to stress over every little thing. Please don't worry, cold water is completely fine and won't ruin your progress.

Drink whatever water keeps you hydrated, my friend. What actually works for weight loss is keeping a clean diet and walking at least 8k steps daily. Focus on consistency in your workouts.

Water is water, your body eventually warms it up to body temperature anyway. Drinking cold water might actually burn a microscopic amount of energy to warm it up, so don't worry about it.

Chill, cold water does not make you gain weight at all. Just make sure you aren't drinking it too fast when you're panting after exercise. Take care of yourself and keep going.
