Can hormones affect weight loss?

Losing weight has been very difficult for months now. My friend suggested that my hormones might be playing a role. Can hormones really impact how easily you lose weight?

Honestly yes! I have been hitting the gym and eating clean for two months but barely lost any weight. My college senior told me stress hormones like cortisol can totally block weight loss, which makes sense with all our exam pressure.

Hormones like insulin, thyroid hormones, and leptin play a critical role in regulating our metabolism and appetite. If you are struggling to lose weight despite a healthy lifestyle, it is best to consult an endocrinologist for a proper evaluation.

At my age, I have realized that the body changes its rhythm over the decades. In my 30s, weight loss was easy, but later, hormonal shifts made it quite slow. Don't lose heart, just stay consistent with gentle walking and a simple diet.

They definitely do, especially insulin sensitivity and thyroid levels. But before blaming hormones entirely, make sure you are tracking your daily calories and lifting some weights. Building muscle naturally helps optimize your hormonal health anyway.

Same here, my PCOS made weight loss feel almost impossible for a long time. I realized that starving myself made it worse because my hormones panicked. Eating balanced meals with good protein and sleeping on time worked wonders for me.

Haan yaar, hormones ka bada role hota hai weight loss mein. Agar thyroid ya cortisol upar neeche hai na, toh mehnat ka phal nahi milta. Ek baar acche doctor se checkup kara lo, sab clear ho jayega.

As someone with hypothyroidism, I can guarantee they do. I used to gain weight just by looking at food. Please get a thyroid profile and HbA1c test done, and follow up with a doctor regularly to keep your dosage correct.
