Can gallbladder problems cause weight loss?

For the past few months, I've been losing weight without trying, and my appetite has also been a bit off. A relative suggested it might be due to gallbladder problems. Is this a common symptom of gallbladder issues?

Honestly, even I am very scared of these things and keep googling everything. If you are losing weight without trying, it could be because your body isn't absorbing nutrients, or maybe you are just eating less to avoid the pain. Please get an ultrasound done soon. Don't stress too much but definitely get a professional opinion to be safe.

Gallbladder issues se weight loss ho sakta hai, ho na. When your body can't digest fat properly, you stop eating out of fear of that sharp pain. Mere cousin ko bhi same problem thi and she lost so much weight before her surgery. Thoda sambhal ke raho aur doctor ko zaroor dikha lo.

Bro, my sleep schedule is completely ruined and reading this at 3 AM makes me think. But seriously, when your gallbladder is acting up, eating even a single samosa feels like a crime, so obviously you will lose weight. No fat digestion means no calories staying in. Go to a doc, get it sorted so we can both sleep peacefully.

I completely understand what you are going through, it is so draining. I used to cry before every meal because eating meant immense pain, and I lost 8 kgs in just a month. It felt so isolating and scary. Please don't suffer in silence, talk to your doctor and get the right treatment soon.

Yes, chronic gallbladder issues or stones can lead to unintended weight loss due to poor fat absorption and nausea. However, sudden weight loss can also point to other underlying conditions. It is best to consult a gastroenterologist and get a proper diagnosis rather than assuming things.

Well, that is one highly painful way to diet! Jokes aside, yes, gallbladder trouble makes you avoid oily food like anything, which naturally leads to weight dropping. Don't let yourself starve though. See a doctor and get it fixed before you shrink into thin air!
