Can early pregnancy give you diarrhea?

I just got a positive pregnancy test result, but for the past two days, I've been having loose motions. I'm usually constipated, so this is quite unusual for me. Could this sudden diarrhea be linked to the early stages of pregnancy?

Yes, sudden dietary changes and prenatal vitamins can disturb your gut flora. Track your water intake on an app and make sure you are getting enough electrolytes to avoid dehydration.

Actually, it can happen, yaar. The hormones completely mess up your digestion. Just don't eat oily outside food and stick to simple home-cooked curd rice for a couple of days.

Hey, don't stress too much about this. It's just your body reacting to the new changes. Just sip some coconut water and rest today, you will be totally fine.

Please be careful. While it can be normal, severe diarrhea can cause cramping and strain. If it doesn't stop in 24 hours, contact your doctor immediately to rule out any infection.

It is quite common because of sudden hormonal shifts affecting bowel motility. Just make sure you drink ORS to replace lost salts, and avoid taking any random stopping pills without a doctor's nod.
